Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program


Please refer to the current Detailed Model Plan below for the most up-to-date information. Copies are provided at the ONC main office and can be accessed on the Federal LIHEAP website.

  • Household’s gross income must be at or below 150% of the current Federal Poverty Level
  • Must reside in Bethel
  • Residents in subsidized housing are not eligible for this benefit (ASHA, AVCP, BNC housing)
  • Heating Assistance – fuel, firewood, electric bill
  • Crisis Assistance – households with a shut off notice and/or have less than 5 gallons of heating fuel, have a medical need, homes that have elders 60 years and older as well as children 5 and younger.
  • Weatherization – refer to the current Detailed Model Plan for a complete list of the types of assistance we provide for weatherization

Benefit amount may be split up the following ways:

  • 100% Fuel
  • 100% Electricity
  • 50% Fuel – 50% Electricity
  • 25% Fuel – 75% Electricity
  • 75% Fuel – 25% Electricity
